World’s Highest Light Show at Pikes Peak 🚀✨

On August 23, 2025, I not only witnessed but also participated in something unforgettable—the World’s Highest Light Show, hosted by the Denver Tesla Owners Club. With my car, Apollo Storm (a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD), I joined 202 Teslas at the summit of Pikes Peak, Colorado (14,115 ft elevation) to set a Guinness World Record for the highest-altitude Tesla light show.

Out of those 202 Teslas, an incredible 68 were Cybertrucks, which added to the futuristic vibe of the event. Together, our vehicles synced headlights, taillights, and LED setups to music, creating what looked like a “futuristic aurora borealis” glowing across the mountain.

The Drive Up the Mountain 🏔️

Even the journey to the top had its moments of magic—and comedy. While heading up the Pikes Peak Highway, a herd of big horn sheep decided to block the road. Instead of honking or rushing, Simon from XLightShows.io played a light show just for them! The sheep weren’t exactly impressed—they didn’t budge an inch—but the rest of us had a good laugh at the idea of the world’s highest light show getting a warm-up act for wildlife.

Cyber Weekend: More Than a Light Show 🌄⚡

The record-setting display was the centerpiece, but it was part of a much bigger experience called Cyber Weekend (Aug 21–25, 2025):

  • Cybertruck Offroading & Pancake Breakfast 🛻🥞
Cybertrucks (and some adventurous Model Ys and Xs) went boondocking, exploring rugged trails. The event featured an outdoor pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon, plus a chance to test out the Cybertruck’s unique kitchen setup.

  • Scenic Drives & Socials 🚗🌲
Organized group drives offered stunning photo ops along the 19-mile Pikes Peak Highway, with Tesla owners from across the U.S., Canada, and the UK. Influencers like Whole Mars Catalog also joined in, helping spread the event’s buzz.

  • Camping Under the Stars ⛺🌌
Many attendees camped out nearby, making the weekend feel like a Tesla festival with mountain views.

Reflections

Being at the top of Pikes Peak, watching my car Apollo Storm pulse in unison with 200+ Teslas, is an experience I’ll never forget. The community, the energy, and the sheer sight of those lights dancing against the night sky were surreal. It wasn’t just a record—it was a celebration of innovation, adventure, and what makes the Tesla community so unique.

Special thanks to the Denver Tesla Owners Club for organizing such a massive event. Between the breathtaking views, the Cybertruck adventures, and even the unbothered big horn sheep, this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
